At the age of 11 Fiona successfully auditioned for the Royal Ballet Lower School (White Lodge). Whilst a pupil Fiona won the James Monaham and Ninette de Valois awards for choreography 2 years running.
During her final year at White Lodge Fiona was offered a place at the Royal Ballet Upper School for a further 3 years study. During these 3 years Fiona passed the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced Exam with Honours.
In her graduation year Fiona performed with the Royal Ballet Company on many productions including, Swan Lake, Coppelia and Nutcracker. Fiona was also lucky enough to be invited to tour with the Company to Moscow performing in Swan Lake and Don Quixote.
After graduating from the Royal Ballet School Fiona joined London Studio Centre’s sister company Images and toured Britain performing in various productions including work by Frederick Ashton, Christopher Wheeldon and Will Tucket.
On her return to Devon Fiona completed the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with The Royal Academy of Dance.
Fiona now works as a freelance teacher and choreographer and in 2011 was offered the role of Junior Associate Teacher for the Royal Ballet School in Devon and has most recently joined the ‘Dreams’ project with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
