Hello from TR2 Plymouth and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures!
Attached is the outline of an exciting opportunity for young men in the South West, aged 10-25.
We are not looking for experience, just a natural enjoyment and willingness to have a go at dancing! In 2014 New Adventures will be touring a professional work of Lord of the Flies in 13 cities in the UK. In each city they will be searching for 20 young men to be part of the professional production and/or be part of workshops in the lead up to the auditions.
Audition days will be 8th&9th March 2014. We will be offering boys who attend taster sessions the opportunity to audition for the production. If you’d like to book any of your young men into an open taster session (all workshops will be FREE) with us in Plymouth’s TR2 please see the attached letter and trailer.

Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures
invites you to get involved with their latest production, Lord of the Flies. This unique project offers young men across the South West an opportunity to experience this novel in workshops and afterwards, brings together professional dancers from the company and chosen young men to perform at Theatre Royal 30th April – 4th May 2014.We are offering specially crafted, high energy workshops for boys aged between 10 – 25 years old. No previous experience is necessary, participants will get a chance to be creative and learn choreography from the show in a fun, relaxed environment. Workshops will be held in schools across Plymouth over the coming months and open taster sessions will be available in the new year.
These workshops are an opportunity for young men of all abilities to experience performing arts, but also to develop self-belief, discipline and achieve something of a high standard they may not have considered before. This is undeniably an incredible opportunity for anyone with an interest in dance, but also a fantastic chance to experience first-hand how one of the biggest dance companies in the world put together a show.
